LaKeita Burns is the talented Founder and Lead Cake Artist behind Chi City Cakes, a Chicago-based bakery that specializes in creating stunning custom cakes for special occasions. A devoted wife and mother of two, LaKeita's passion for baking and creating personalized cakes that bring joy to her clients' special moments is truly unmatched.

Growing up, LaKeita's Grandmama instilled in her a love for cooking and baking, which would become a lifelong passion. While she kept her baking hobby private for many years, LaKeita rediscovered the joy that personalized cakes brought her when she stumbled upon old photos of the amazing cakes her father made for her and her siblings when they were young. Sadly, her father passed away just before her 7th birthday, making those memories even more special to her.

LaKeita's ultimate goal is to make every client feel seen, heard, and celebrated. She pours her heart and soul into every custom cake she creates, channeling her love and dedication to her craft into unique and unforgettable moments for her clients. Through her work at Chi City Cakes, LaKeita is able to honor her father's memory and create truly meaningful experiences for her clients that they will cherish for years to come.
